Design Dilemma - I told you it would be slow going...

Did you think we had abandoned our makeover? 

What???  You hadn't even thought about it?  Well!  :)

 
We are still working on it, just very slowly, and only sometimes surely. We try to do at least a little something every Saturday. 

Once we pulled up the vinyl, we found that there was an additional piece of subfloor glued very, very well onto the other subfloor.  We consulted all our DIY friends and family and decided that we would have to remove both pieces, then put down a new piece.

Then we started to try to do that and found that the top piece actually did come up much easier than the bottom piece, which we had not anticipated.  Yay for less cost and less work!!

 

Here is what it looks like now:

 

I think we're ready to start building!
