weight loss this week: 1 pound; 1 inch from my bust.
I'm a little frustrated by that number this week. I worked out A LOT this week, and although I was pretty hungry from the extra exercise, I think I was pretty careful about what I ate. If I had weighed in yesterday, my loss was 2 pounds, but yesterday I made no bake cookies (low fat margarine and half splenda/half sugar) and due to a headache, a sick Sage and an absent husband, I ate a lot more than I should have. Still, it shouldn't be so hard to lose a pound and so frikkin' easy to gain one.
So, I have been doing this video--3 times last week and once the week before. I got it from the library and I just renewed it, so I'll do it 3 times a week this week and next before I have to turn it in. It goes pretty slow, since she is explaining the basics of the ball for beginners, so after my first time or two I started keeping the remote handy to FF through some of the extra talking. The first day I did it I thought it might be too easy, until I woke up the next day and couldn't move. Now my muscles are extremely fatigued by the end of it and I sure feel like I'm working hard!
Chicken Broccoli Ring
1 C. chopped Broccoli
1 large Bell Pepper, seeded and diced
1 clove Garlic, minced
4 oz. Low fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese
2 packages Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls
1 C. Fat Free Mayonnaise
12 oz. cooked, chopped Chicken
2 tsp. Dill
Combine all ingredients except rolls and mix. On a cooking sheet sprayed with Pam, lay the rolls out in a circle, big ends in and slightly overlapping, small ends pointing out. When you have the circle how you want it, gently smash the overlapped rolls together. Spoon the mixture around the circle, then bring the points up and over it, tucking the points under. Bake at 375* for about 25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
4 points for one roll's width of the ring (did that make sense?)

But you did lose, that's good. Love Mom
What's wrong with Sage?
And....mmmmmm. No bake cookies. Oh, wait, what was the point of the post?
There is no way you could have overeaten a pound's worth in a day (3000+ calories). It was probably partially salt intake has you retaining water. Make sure you are eating enough with the extra exercise--trade some of those points in.
The recipe makes sense points-wise and sounds good.
I don't have an inch to spare on my bust. Sigh. But good for you. It's progress. Slow and frustrating progress, but still.
I could really go for some no-bake cookies right now.
WV: fricke--Perfect because blogger ate my comment and I was retyping it just now and was thinking this exact thing. The 'e' is silent.
Please don't tell me you really used Splenda! That stuff is bad for you (and causes weight gain besides all the other nasty stuff it does to your body)
WV- foode
sandra, I can promise not to tell you again...
A pound lost is great!
I'll bet you'll get the other pound back in the next day or two.
I was .4 less than the day of weigh in the day before and .8 less today. Somehow I need to get the downward fluctuations back in line with weigh in day. LOL
The exercise ball looks interesting. I've never used one. I'm good for cardio but I need some strength training. Maybe I'll look into that.
I'm ok with Splenda.. can you post what recipe or link you use? Is it the PB no bake cookies? What did you figure out the point value to be?
mmmm... no bake cookies....
A pound is great! I am working so hard and eating so healthy, and sometimes I just get a few ounces a week. I blame it on my aging body, but the reality is the years of overeating and not being active enough. I also know I will think twice about gaining it back (this time) because it has been so hard to get off. And you're under 20 pounds to your goal!! So close. Proud of you.
